Baked Potato Soup – Easy Homemade Diet Recipe


This is another great weight watcher recipe from baked potato soup recipe. It is loaded with garlic, potato, turkey bacon, chicken broth, thyme, black pepper, low fat sour cream, cheddar cheese and scallion. Baked potato soup will need time 85 minutes divided into 15 minutes for preparation and 70 minutes for cooking process. Baked potato soup will cost you 7 points per serving

Baked potato soup


  • 1 [one] big bulb garlic
  • 3 [three] lb of potato
  • 6 [six] slice of un-cooked turkey bacon
  • 4 [four] cup of low reduced sodium chicken broth
  • 1 1⁄2 [one and half] tablespoon of chopped fresh thyme
  • 1⁄2 [half] teaspoon of salt
  • 1⁄4 [one fourth] teaspoon of black pepper
  • 6 [six] tablespoon of low fat sour cream
  • 6 [six] tablespoon of low fat cheddar cheese
  • 6 [six] tablespoon of sliced scallion

Cooking process;

  • Put oven and preheat with 400 [four hundred] degree Fahrenheit
  • Put bulb garlic into foil
  • Place potato; garlic in the oven
  • Baked garlic for forty five minutes until soft
  • Take soft garlic and let is cool
  • Baked potato for fifteen minutes until tender
  • Remove potato from oven and let it cool
  • Heat bacon in the big non-stick skillet with medium/high heat for six minutes
  • Put bacon on the paper towel
  • Chop bacon
  • Unwrap garlic/squeeze pulp from bulb to saucepan
  • Peel potato and put in the saucepan
  • Stir in the chicken broth; pepper; salt; thyme until blended
  • Put saucepan on medium/high heat for five or ten minutes
  • Take one and one three 4/3 cups of soup into soup bowl
  • Add one tbsp of sour cream; one tbsp of cheese; one tbsp of bacon and one tbsp of scallion
  • Top with fresh pepper
  • serve
